NZS 3604 scoping document consultation
Standards New Zealand and MBIE have initiated a review process for NZS 3604, the Standard for timber framed structures.
An initial scoping workshop for this process was held during late 2019, at which SESOC was represented by Graeme Beattie, ex BRANZ and now employed by EDC. The outcomes of the workshop have led to publication by Standards NZ of a formal scoping document for the review. Public consultation on the scoping document is currently open, with details and the scoping document available at:
Consultation closes on 3 February. SESOC members are encouraged to make submissions on the scoping document given the importance of this Standard to our industry.
Alternatively, if you have comments to make on the scoping document but feel unable to make a formal submission, please feel free to record comments in response to this post. All comments received will be considered for inclusion in a potential SESOC submission.
I tried to download the document but no longer available, I am keen to know if they modify the wind speed or the wind zones?
