Can we apply the design specifications from options 1, 2, and 4 in the Canterbury Earthquake Guide without requiring specific engineering design calculations if the soil’s ultimate bearing capacity is more than 300Kpa ?

TC2 foundations will always require specific design to assess the 2m edge loss of bearing and internal 4m loss of bearing cases, regardless of what the bearing capacity of the site is.
