Torsion in Modal Response Spectrum Method
Hi there,
I was hoping someone could give me a further explanation/guidance to clause 6.3.5.3b(ii), in more detail to what’s in the commentary?
Does that mean we can apply a static torsion to represent the accidental eccentricity without having to shift mass if the diaphragm is rigid?
How would one practically enact 6.3.5.3b(ii)? The commentary states it’s “..much simpler to apply in practice..” than shifting mass.
Thanks,
Poornaka
